Fr. John Puodziunas, OFM is the Economo General for the Franciscans (Italy).

He spoke at the Real Estate & New Evangelization Conference held in Rome in April 2022. His keynote speech, “Poverty and Property: a Franciscan Perspective on Land, Buildings and Assets,” explored the importance of property for a congregation (even for a mendicant order like the Franciscans) as well as for the individual, a property being a home – an expression of God’s love on earth and fulfilling in part our desire to belong somewhere.
